I can’t believe that the American people (all of us) can be so naive that we would buy how great this program is going to be for us. Common sense would tell you that anything the government does will never work. Just look over the last year at the government intervention into our economy!
The biggest spin is that THE insurance company can no longer turn you down for preconditions. Think about that.. you really don’t think your rates are going up?? If the insurance company HAS to insure someone with terminal cancer at the same rate as everyone else, then their only recourse is to raise everyones rates to offset the cost. It’s like car insurance, if the insurance company has to insure bad drivers along with good drivers then everyone gets a rate increase. Illinois is a good example where auto insurance is mandatory, they have high rates and less coverage than we use to have. Recently all of our auto insurance rates went up.. since Wisconsin is pushing for a mandatory insurance program.
The next biggest spin is that we will be able to go to any doctor and still get the care we want. Get serious, do you really think the government will pay for preventive medicine, think twice they already are cutting back on medicare.
Then how about the provision for abortions, if that passes then I think everyone should refuse to pay federal income tax for religious reasons. Just think if we quit paying them ( until they start listening to the people ) we could bring them to their knees in less that a month!
